Common questions.
Honest answers about RevoMart's early property partner pilot program in Metro Detroit. The short version: RevoMart is launching fully managed smart cooler and compact micro-market pilot placements and currently selecting early property partner locations, tell us about the space, and we'll come back with a clear pilot fit answer within one business day.
What is a smart cooler?
A smart cooler is a glass-front refrigerated unit with built-in cashless checkout. You tap a card or mobile wallet to unlock it, take what you want, and the door closes, items scan automatically. No app, no account, no cash. It's the lowest-footprint way to add a modern self-serve convenience amenity to a property.
What is a compact micro-market?
A compact micro-market is an open retail-style setup with shelving, one or more coolers, and a self-checkout kiosk. It works like a small unattended retail shop, residents, employees, members, or guests can grab drinks, snacks, fresh items, and essentials and pay at the kiosk in seconds. It's a step up from a smart cooler when the property has the foot traffic and space to support a wider assortment.
Is RevoMart local to Metro Detroit?
Yes. RevoMart is locally owned and operated, and currently serves properties across Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties, including Detroit, Royal Oak, Troy, Birmingham, Southfield, Warren, Dearborn, Sterling Heights, Novi, Livonia, Farmington Hills, Commerce Township, Wixom, and Ann Arbor. You'll work directly with the owner-operators, not a national call center.
Can we start with one cooler?
Yes. Most early property partner pilots start with a single smart cooler so we can test real usage with minimal disruption. If demand supports it, we can expand to additional units or step up to a compact micro-market later.
How much does a smart cooler or compact micro market cost the property?
Qualifying properties may be eligible for a no-upfront-equipment-cost pilot as part of a 60-90 day RevoMart placement. Final setup depends on location fit, expected traffic, product needs, power access, and placement details. Long-term terms, including any revenue share or placement arrangement, are reviewed together based on real usage data once the pilot is live.
What products can RevoMart stock?
Cold drinks, sparkling water, energy drinks, snacks, chips, jerky, bars, sweets, better-for-you and protein options, fresh grab-and-go items, coffee and pantry essentials, and quick personal-care items where the format fits. The mix is curated to your audience and refined during the pilot.
Do you service apartments?
Yes, apartment communities are a primary focus. We work with Class-A multifamily, mid-market communities, senior living, and affordable housing across Metro Detroit. Placements typically live in lounges, mailrooms, or amenity floors.
Do you service offices?
Yes. RevoMart serves offices of all sizes, from a single smart cooler in a small breakroom to a compact micro market in an HQ building. Companies can let employees pay individually, partially subsidize items, or fully cover specific categories.
How often do you restock?
Restocking cadence is based on real usage. We monitor inventory and visit on a regular schedule that keeps the cooler or market full without over-servicing the property. Higher-traffic placements get more frequent visits.
Do you handle maintenance?
Yes. RevoMart handles equipment maintenance, cleaning, and the cashless checkout technology. Your team doesn't manage anything day to day.
What is the difference between a smart cooler and a micro market?
A smart cooler is a self-contained, glass-front unit with built-in cashless checkout, items scan automatically as the door closes. A micro market is an open retail-style setup with shelving, multiple coolers, and a self-checkout kiosk. Coolers fit tighter footprints; compact micro markets are built for higher-traffic spaces with room to feature them.
Can we start with a trial period?
Yes, that's exactly how the early property partner pilot works. A 60-90 day pilot lets your team and ours see real usage before committing to a long-term setup. There is no obligation to continue after the pilot.
What type of location works best?
Properties with consistent foot traffic and room for a clean, cashless setup. That includes apartments, offices, gyms, hotels, medical office buildings, senior living communities, and staff facilities. We are cashless-only, and we recommend the format that actually fits the space.
Is RevoMart already operating installed markets?
RevoMart is currently accepting select Metro Detroit early property partner locations for its first smart cooler and compact micro-market pilot placements.
What does a pilot location need to provide?
A suitable common-area placement, standard power access, permission to install, and service access for restocking and maintenance. RevoMart coordinates everything else.
What happens after the pilot?
RevoMart reviews actual usage with the property and we decide together whether to continue, adjust the product mix, expand the setup, create a revenue-share arrangement, or remove the placement.
Are the photos on this site real installations?
The current images are representative examples and concept layouts of the type of clean, compact placements RevoMart is preparing. Real early property partner photos will be added as pilot placements go live.
How do you decide which format is right for my property?
A short site assessment covers the space, daily traffic, and who would use it. From there we recommend the format that actually fits, a smart cooler for tighter footprints or a compact micro market for higher-traffic spaces.
Can the product mix be tailored to our property?
Yes. The mix is shaped around your residents, employees, guests, or members and refined during the pilot based on what actually moves.
What types of properties are a good fit?
Apartments (including senior and affordable housing), offices, gyms, hotels, and select healthcare and medical office placements. We are cashless-only.
How does checkout work?
All transactions are cashless. Tap to pay with a card or mobile wallet, no apps, no accounts, no cash. Smart coolers scan automatically as the door closes; compact micro markets use a self-checkout kiosk.
How much space is needed?
A smart cooler fits in roughly 3 feet of wall space and plugs into a standard outlet. A compact micro market starts around 80 square feet.
How long does setup take?
A smart cooler can typically be set up in under a day once delivery is scheduled. A compact micro market takes a few days for fit-out and stocking.
Is insurance documentation available?
Yes, insurance documentation can be provided before installation at qualifying pilot locations.
How quickly will someone respond after I inquire?
Within one business day. We are a local team, so a real person follows up directly to confirm pilot fit and outline next steps.
